Done and done! Meet Auntie Grizelda. I crocheted her last fall and named her after a Monkees song. Fast forward to last weekend, when it was a wee bit chilly in our house, and I tossed Auntie Grizelda around my shoulders, and my daughter said, "Could I have one of those? Pink, with purple on the outside."

Sure you can, honey! (As you may already be aware, pink and purple are the international colors of the 7-year-old girl.) Because the first one was named after a Monkees song, the second one had to be as well, but I couldn't find a title that suited this shawl. So I borrowed a lyric from "Randy Scouse Git" (certainly couldn't use that title) et voila - Wondergirl!
The pattern is an extremely enlarged version of the Beach Bandanna from Knitter's Lib. I really like it, and may be making more...Sunny Girlfriend? Some of Shelly's Blues? Valleri? I may have to go break out my Monkees albums.
(ETA: I tried to leave links to Your Auntie Grizelda and Randy Scouse Git, but it didn't work. I really, really don't know why, because obviously I am capable of creating links - in fact, I like it. You can Google 'em, though!)
