In which Jaywalkers are explained

Or at least have a link left to them. Jaywalkers are a very popular sock pattern, available on the internets for not quite two years now, and I am almost certainly the last sock-knitter on earth to cast on a pair. That sock I was wearing when I had my foot up on the kitchen table? That's a Jaywalker! I am now working on the second one. And by "working on," I mean "staring at while it sits on the coffee table, and wondering why it isn't getting bigger all by itself."

Second socks will do that to you.

Please to be checking out the little guy I crocheted yesterday!

In case you're not hip to the Pokemon scene*, this is Munchlax. He is a Surprise, so I shall say no more till he is safely in the hands of his Surprisee. Hee!

*I wouldn't dream of calling myself "hip," but you can't live with my kids and not pick up a little Pokemon knowledge. By the same token, everyone in my house can tell a knit from a purl, even if they've never stitched either one.

And finally, if you have ever loved an animal, read this and have faith that the animal in question loves you too. Bring Kleenex!
