Look what I hauled out from the back of the closet!
Good old Norwegian Wood - as seen in Episode 46! Stocking stitch on whopping great big needles seemed like the right project for the moment. For some reason.
There's no pattern here...one day, last year, I looked at The Stash and saw two skeins of chocolatey Encore DK nestled up next to a vintage skein of Lion Brand Imagine in blues and browns, and thought how lovely they looked together, and I should totally make a shawl or a wrap or something. I'm just using 10mm needles to knit the Encore into a big rectangle, and I'll crochet a nice edging around it with the Imagine. Voila! Shawl or wrap or something, called "Norwegian Wood" because that's the name of the Imagine colorway. But I bought the Imagine colorway because it was named for a Beatles song, so everything has come back to the Beatles in the end, just like always.
Just a quick one: Top Five Beatles Songs!
1. "Lovely Rita"
2. "Dear Prudence"
3. "Eight Days a Week"
4. "Hey Bulldog"
5. "Here Comes the Sun"
Poor "Norwegian Wood" didn't make the cut, at least not today, or even right this second. This list is in a constant state of flux, mostly because it's so hard to choose favorite Beatles songs, what with them being so awesome and all. The only songs that will never make my Top Five? "Yesterday" (boring) and "She's Leaving Home" (sad and sloppy). See, and now I feel guilt for admitting there are two whole Beatles songs that I don't like. Sorry, lads! Love you!

We made it home safely and soundly.
What a fun week! I will have to brush up on my Yahtzee (or however you spell it) for future visits.
We listened to the Fab Four through the West Virginia mountains, so I thought I'd list my top five favorites of the day, too.
1. Penny Lane
2. The Ballad of John and Yoko
(and I like to hear this one
over - at least 5 times)!
3. Let It Be
4. Back in the USSR
5. Oobla De Oobla Dah (I just
realized I have no clue how to
spell that either)!
