This is Amanda's Squatty Sidekick, a little handbag pattern from the Knitting Daily website. (It's meant to be felted, which is why it looks all wonky here.) This is Andes 100% wool, in this gorgeous purple-and-olive colorway, on 6mm needles. And for a brief period, it was my first foray into knitting in the round on two circular needles - it took me a few minutes to get the hang of it, but I did, and it actually worked! I've done enough increases now for it to fit all the way around the 24" circular, so I've just got it on the one needle now, but it's good to know I can manage the two circulars if I have to.
In related news, I have run out of flat surfaces in the living room on which to place my UFOs. It might be in everyone's best interest for me to finish one or two things before I cast on again, but... you know how it is. Sometimes you just have to cast on.
It all sounds like a bad movie. Someone stop me before I cast on again!
And now, Mr. Goomba Presents: the Cherry Kool-Aid Scarf!
The yarn is white Nature Spun Worsted Weight dyed with cherry Kool-Aid; my daughter started it on 5mm needles a looooong time ago, and I finished it this weekend. It's cute as a bug.
Man, this is way more boring than usual; I apologize for being so uninspired today. It's Monday. Yeah, that's the ticket!
