Happy Leap Day!

Slowly but surely, the Knitting Mojo returns.

This is the first of the new pair of fingerless gloves requested by El Fuego. He has two pairs - one at work and one at home - and he has absolutely worn the home pair to shreds. He loved 'em to death. It's kind of heartwarming, really! These new ones are Knucks, by the way - so I can get the fiddly finger bits out of the way first.

Yep, that's a Post-It flag sticking out of the detached thumb. (It says "thumb." I guess I don't really need it anymore.) Post-It products figure heavily in my knitting; I have a pad of flags and a pad of regular little square notes (known to some as "nastygrams") in with my knitting supplies. I love finding old knitting notes that I wrote to myself and then neglected to throw away...what the heck was I knitting when I wrote "Don't forget you're on Row 8, you big dummy" on bright green paper? Hm, I guess that's why they're called nastygrams.

Hope everyone is enjoying their extra day of February!

Nastygrams indeed. I kept finding notes all over the house saying: "I'm all out of alpaca - F.U.", "We are all out of Patton's Wool Classic, F.U.", "AGAIN - I am out of Noro! - F.U.".
Took me 3 hours to figure out that "F.U." did not stand for Felix Unger. Sheesh!

Dude. Have you noticed there's currently no Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride in my stash...?
