Hail! Hail! Rock & Roll

Sorry to make y'all look at that picture of my foot for so long. Yech. I've been busy: I crocheted a Professional Hat, which I wore to Cleveland...

And I started a Heartbreakingly Cute Baby Kimono. It's very red, and I love it.

I also knit a Fake Isle Hat, but it's too small for me, so I'm going to send it in along with my Baby Afghan for Afghans, which I worked on in Cleveland last night.

Oh! Yes. We went to Cleveland. Just for an overnight trip, a pilgrimage to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. What did you see when you were there? Nothing that doesn't show.

Well, as long as I'm quoting the Beatles, I will tell you that I saw John Lennon's Sergeant Pepper outfit. Soak that in for a moment; I'm still working on it myself, honestly. I stood about four inches from John. Lennon's. Sergeant. Pepper. Outfit. It was behind glass, or else I would have touched it, which they are very right not to allow for many reasons, not the least of which is I might have cried on it, and it was awesome, in the truest sense of the word awesome, because I was in awe.

We also saw one of Freddie Mercury's outfits, and several of Jimi Hendrix's, and several of Michael Jackson's. They also have one of Elvis' jumpsuits, it's called "Snowflake," and one of his Cadillacs - it was purple, with white upholstery, and his "TCB" symbol stitched into the front seats just below the headrests. And Johnny Cash's guitar, and Rick Nelson's guitar, and Ian Anderson's flute. I'll be honest, I was overwhelmed; there was so much to see, all of it beyond cool. I saw a whole bunch of amazing, wonderful stuff that I'm just too blown away to remember right now. Since I pilfered one of Chuck Berry's lyrics for the post title, I feel bad for not remembering whether I saw one of his guitars or something, though I'm sure I saw his picture quite a few times. We'll have to go back. Woohoo!

No photography is allowed at the Hall of Fame, but when I got home I took a picture of some souvenirs.
