It doesn't look like much yet (though I love that diamond pattern even more in real life than I did in the pictures), which is probably why part of my brain keeps telling me, "That doesn't look like a sweater! It's going to be a disaster!" But I keep making the decision to trust the designer, rather than that part of my brain, which is obviously a bit hysterical, and onwards I knit.
I admit I'm not looking forward to the third yoke section, in which we increase to 440 stitches. That's going to require a lot of "onwards I knit" pep talks to myself. But once I bind off for the sleeves, it's going to be smooth sailing!
This morning I went to the pattern page on Ravelry and looked at the Tappan Zees (Tappans Zee?) that have already been knit, and they're all just beautiful. Those pictures will also help me get through the upcoming 440-stitch section, I think.
