Sorry for the boring.

I haven't been knitting a lot lately, and what I've been knitting hasn't been good blog fodder... a few stocking-stitch rows of Tappan Zee here, a few rounds of Drizzly Day there. I've turned the heel and am halfway through the foot of Drizzly Day, so I should have a finished sock to show off soon. I'd like to finish that pair of socks before the end of May, so I will have finished two pairs of socks for the April/May Old School Sock Knitters' knitalong on Ravelry. The theme for April/May is water or water animals, so I'd have my Dragonfly socks and my Drizzly Day in Holland Park socks filling the bill there. And I absolutely have to finish Tappan Zee by mid-June, so I can block it and sew on the buttons and have it all ready to wear when we go to England at the beginning of July. (I am so excited about that, I can't bear to think about it too much yet. Might explode.)

So there is knitting, but not super-interesting knitting. Honestly, right now there's mostly writing. You'd think it was November, the way I'm writing lately, except it isn't November so I feel like I shouldn't yammer at people about it. They expect me to go on and on about writing in November, so that's fine, but it wouldn't be nice of me to blindside them with it in May. Anyway, this isn't anything that's likely to be published, except maybe on the interwebz someday, and maybe not even there. I like to keep my Hot Fuzz fanfic to myself. (I should not have said that.)

Well I was going to say that Drizzly Day seems appropriate given the weather and leave it at that...but the fanfic comment has me....bemused.

I guess I know which movie we're not watching this weekend. Humph!

But we have to. It's research. I can't remember whether Sergeant Angel is right-handed!

(Yes I can. He is right-handed. I just want to watch it again)

:)
