Lately

I've made a bunch of tiny things, and one sort of medium-sized thing.

Cross-stitch-wise, there's still a lot of making-up to do here, but the stitching is done. Plans include:

Music festival poster: a magnet
Tiny flowers: felt flower brooches
Butterfly: the cover of a small notebook
Teapot: a tea wallet.

Yes! A tea wallet! I always take teabags with me when I travel, because you never know when the urge for a cup of tea will strike, and what if I can't locate any decaf while I'm away from home? Must have teabags. But it never occurred to me that I needed a tea wallet, until I saw an ad for one in a cross-stitch magazine. It was one you could purchase, oddly enough, since it was in a crafty magazine, and my brain immediately told me how I could make one of my own, which is what I'm going to do. Now, wish me luck finding the gumption to break out the iron in this godforsaken heat.

I also knit three more tiny hats for the Big Knit, and finished my first Ornery Sock. And knit the cuff of the second. I absolutely adore this Kureyon Sock yarn, by the way. The colors are gorgeous, I love the way they sort of melt into each other. The yarn is still downright stroppy, but as long as I'm firm with it, it will do as I say in the end (after a bit of back-talking). Argumentative as it is, I haven't even considered giving up on it. There's something about it that I can't resist.

I love the very idea of a tea wallet! What a grand idea.

Very nice sock as well - and next to the tiny hats it looks simply gigantic!
