Here's an extreme close-up of my new Celtic Cable Neckwarmer. It's blocking. And gorgeous. And soft like a puppy's belly. The yarn is Knitpicks' Sugarbunny in Sea Spray, and I used 5.5mm needles. Another picture forthcoming, as soon as it's done blocking and I've sewn on some buttons.
Sadly, the Squishy Slouchy Hat from post-before-last had to be frogged; after two pattern repeats, it finally occurred to me to check my gauge, which was entirely too tight. The hat would have been neither squishy nor slouchy, unless you put it on a newborn, and I rather fancied wearing it myself, so that was the end of that. I'll try again, eventually, because it's a great hat - but in the meantime, I'm fighting a serious case of startitis.
And not fighting very hard, if I'm honest. Yesterday the new issue of Pieceworks arrived, and there, on page 30, were the gloves I've been looking for
It will be a further miracle if I don't cast on a Lavalette tonight with this gorgeous yarn Pinky sent me for my birthday. (Don't hold your breath ... a girl can only be expected to control herself for so long around a skein of fingering-weight this soft, and in her favorite color.)
