Return of the Peach

I've been crafting, and I've been writing; I just haven't been writing about crafting. But here I am, with a bunch of pictures!

Here's a hat called Etta. It's a big slouchy number, looks quite a bit better on my head than it does on the floor, haha. The yarn is Knitpicks Full Circle, the color is Passion, and I used a 5mm needle. Great yarn, by the way - grab some while you can, because it's a Special Reserve. I still have a ball in Robin, no idea yet what I'll do with it. Maybe I'll hoard it.

And here's Chroma, from a book called Weekend Hats, which I checked out of the library last week and immediately decided I must have fully half the hats in it. I used a bunch of leftover yarns for this, which makes it a free hat. A bonus hat. A really fun good-looking hat. I feel a Seussish rhyme coming on...

This yarn. What can I say about this yarn? I am slap out of my mind over these colors. The yarn is Knitpicks Felici, in the best colorway ever: Peachy. First of all, I had to have a colorway called Peachy, and second - just look at it! Fabulous. So fabulous that I am determined to have two pairs of socks out of the two balls of Peachy. Each of these is the first sock of its pair. I'll finish up this ball of yarn, then knit their mates from the other one. The completed sock is cuff-down, with a short-row heel knit from some leftover KP Stroll in Petunia; I didn't want the heel to break up the stripe pattern, so I dived into my considerable leftover-sock-yarn stash and found a perfect heel color. The sock-in-progress is toe-up, and I'm just going to let the heel break up the stripe pattern, since the toe has already messed with it a bit. "Freestyle socklet" is what I'm going for here.

And finally, some cross stitch, featuring a couple of excellent puns.
