Mr. Goomba is modeling them, because El Fuego is afraid the sight of his feet will scare off all my readers. The argument that his feet would be covered by lovely socks made no difference, so Mr. G. stepped in. (Stepped in! Ha!)
The very handsome pattern is Mr. Pitt's Socks, the yarn is KnitPicks Essential in Navy, the needles were 2.75mm double points, and they fit El Fuego just like they were made for him or something. Here's a close-up of the pattern stitch...
Oh dear. I'll never get rid of him now!
