A magnet and a pair of socks.

Horatio's Diamond Waffle socks are finished!

I finished them last night, and he wore them to school today. That's the highest compliment a pair of socks can get, I think. (Those are actually my feet in the picture, and I have to say the kid's right, they're pretty comfy socks.) The yarn is Trekking Pro Natura in this nice fern color, and the needles were the usual suspects, 2.75mm double points. The Diamond Waffle pattern calls for the socks to be knit toe-up, but I went cuff-down because I prefer it. Either way, it's a very nice looking sock.

And one more of my cross-stitch projects has been transformed. A piece of cardstock, some hot glue, and a strip of magnet tape...

...and there's a cool new magnet on the fridge!
