Monday

It certainly is. I had some blood taken at my doctor's office this morning - they're going to check my cholesterol and blood sugar and all kinds of other fun stuff - I believe I heard the word "lipids," but I'm unclear on what that is, and that's okay. In general I'm healthy, and neither my doctor nor I expect anything unpleasant to turn up in the blood tests, but honestly I am the whiniest crybaby on earth. I do not like needles. (Well...medical needles. Clearly the kinds of needles that turn out owls or Noro Kureyon hats are just fine.) I do not like blood being removed from my body under any circumstances. There is a big purply-red bruise creeping out from under the bandage in the crook of my right elbow, and it's making me a bit queasy. Must. Stop. Thinking about it.

On the upside, it's about 72 degrees and there is a really nice breeze blowing through the open windows. Time to pop Michael Palin into the DVD player and get cracking on that shawl.

And Limegreen Headscarf just needs a button to be all done! Finished it last night during "The Wizard of Oz" - I'd forgotten how much the Cowardly Lion cracks me up ("I got a poimanent just for the occasion!").

...and my apologies for all the whining. If you're still there, thanks for listening!

As J.D. would say:
"Nooo whining; 2 points off";
"I love you; go to storage". : )

P.S. - Totally with you on the Monday thing. Oy.
