Bitten

My right wrist is killing me. I don't know why...is it video-game-related? Too much knitting? Too much crochet?

Too much cross-stitch?

Aaaaawww. It's Lickle Ted with his morning coffee, straight from my favorite cross-stitch magazine! They have the greatest designs - mostly nice little designs, and I confess to mostly stitching nice little designs these days. But sometimes they publish a very tempting big beautiful design, something that makes me think I certainly could still take on an epic project:

Like this, maybe. From Issue 105. Are you looking at this? I'm in love. The colors, the shapes, the cats. I'm not ready to tackle it right now, but someday...someday I will have to find the fortitude to stitch a picture this size. In the meantime, I think the UFO Count will be ignored a wee bit longer; the cross-stitch bug has bitten, and I need to decide which nice little design to stitch next!

Oh, I love that steeples/cats design! It is so beautiful - you must start it soon.

Peachy - I would like to take this moment to restore your self-confidence in large cross-stich projects. If anyone can do it, it's you. You, of the "I'm just going to buy a book and teach myself how to knit" ilk. Seriously. Seriously! (ooops - slipped into Grey's Anatomy mode; my bad) Thus ends my inspirational speech for the day. : )

P.S. - I am behind on my mailing. Pkg may not get to you until ... YOUR BIRTHDAY!!! : ) XO - Pinky

AND -
I heard him exclaim
as he drove out of sight:
"Merry Christmas to all in (city name deleted due to internet paranoia)
and to all a good night!"
XOXOXOXO - Pinky

Those are some beautiful colours in the cross-stitch pattern.

I miss cross-stitching. Every once in a while I'll get the urge to take it up again, and I enjoy it while I'm doing it, but somehow knitting always comes back to the forefront and I put down one stitching project to pick up another. :D
