I need a nap

Busy, busy weekend. First of all, my NaNoWriMo word count stands at 41,507. I am going to finish this thing! (Dear Universe: no, that is not a sign that you should send the flu in my direction. And anyway, the flu will just make me hallucinate, leading to several thousand very, very, very interesting words, which will totally count towards NaNo, so ha ha.)

Second of all ... please meet Fred and Hazel!

These little darlings came to live with us on Saturday. That's Fred awake, and Hazel asleep. They both enjoy walking across my keyboard, but I am being scrupulously honest and not including anything the cats type in my word count. They also both enjoy attacking the knobs on the ends of my knitting needles, and this afternoon Hazel picked up the working ball of yarn from Dragon Scales in her teeth and attempted to saunter off with it. (She didn't get far, and I gave her a catnip mouse to put in her teeth instead.)

It sure is nice to have kitties around again! I think I'll write a couple hundred words, and then go throw myself on the couch and see if anyone else thinks a nap is a good idea.
