Monday (redux)

I finished up a pair of socks over the weekend.

Not a matching pair of socks, mind you. (I'm not concerned; I do this a lot. Their mates will be along forthwith.)

ETA: This morning, that really was all I had. But then I decided to try this pattern where you crochet six granny squares and sew them up into a slipper. It looked so cute in the pattern photo ...

... That's not gone well. It's too big, and let's be honest, not all that attractive. Miss Dashwood and I both tried it on; she took this picture of it on my foot. (It looked much sillier on hers, which is smaller than mine.)

And then I had a brilliant idea.

It's really a reusable Swiffer pad. I took this picture of Miss Dashwood Swiffing the kitchen floor, all the while telling the slipper not to feel bad, it was always meant to be a Swiffer pad, and this is not a demotion. This led to much giggling from me and Miss D, though I'm not sure the Swiffyslipper was amused.
