Discovery

I made an important discovery on Sunday.


I like purling in the round. Not that I don't mind it, or that I'll tolerate it for a while: I actually like purling in the round. That surprises me, because it has to be said that in general I prefer the knit stitch. But purling in the round is fun. This hat can go on for just as long as it likes! (This hat, by the way, is the Pinstripe Slouch Hat from Knitting 24/7, which I still have checked out of the library.)

Sunday was my birthday (#39), and for once I didn't go on about it at length. Thirty-nine is a good number; it always makes me think of my first favorite baseball player. I've got a good feeling about this year. This is the year I finally get a tattoo, for sure. Onward to forty!
