I knit two pattern repeats on Domovoi Shawl yesterday. The yarn, whatever it is, still sheds all over the place, the pattern is still a barrel of fun to knit, and I am almost on to the second ball of yarn. Why did I stop working on this?... Oh yeah, the short attention span. I should work on that.
Or not. Rediscovering an old work-in-progress is great; you figure out where you left off and pick up from there. It's like having a whole new project to work on, except without all the fussy casting-on and worrying whether you have enough yarn. You did all the fussing and worrying three and a half months ago when you started it, so now you can get straight to work! Now that's the way to start a new year. (Or end an old one...let's not get ahead of ourselves, Peachy.)
I finished the Cabled Gaiter a couple of days ago - pictures soon. And with that promise, I finish up the 2007 iteration of Crafty Peach. Happy New Year, everyone!
